I've never sold anything before. Now I'm trying to sell every day.
Giving demos and presenting your product to strangers is such a difficult, exciting challenge. I started out so, so bad at it. But as it goes with any skill, I feel like I'm getting better at it through practice. I'm not ready to say I'm good at it, but I'm certainly getting better.
It's all about confidence. Confidence in knowing what you're talking about, confidence that your product is the solution to their problems, and confident that you are the expert on the subject. Even if you know those things, acting the part and projecting that forward is a whole nother challenge.
It's an exhilarating process; one that can be perfected and a worthwhile challenge.
